Chef Bios
Sally Darash owner/chef still rules the roost in our restaurant. Her skills have grown in the 17 years here and 4 years at Ferrari’s, a restaurant we once owned. Sally doesn’t not like ethnic constraints, consequently we’ve always had a globally inspired menu.
In 1995, post Hurricane Marilyn, Sally took our Globally Inspired Menu one step farther. Due to shortages and not being quite sure what food supplies were going to be available, she took a new approach. That new approach now 14 1/2 years old is a daily menu, both lunch and dinner. The original reason being, I don’t want to have menus handed to our clientele and the first thing we say, “this is what we’re out of tonight”, ergo the implementation of a daily menu. Now unfortunately, there is a down side to a “Daily Menu”, that being, we prepare dishes for the meal period, “not the week”, so we do run out of menu items from time to time, our apologies. But you do know the menu was “prepared fresh for that lunch or dinner”.
Sally is backed up by a team that have sous chef to exec chef backgrounds. They’re experienced, talented and have a strong love for their craft. They bring a diverse pool of talent to add to Sally’s style of cuisine which gives our menu more of a dimension that just one cuisine or style.
